Facility Information

Soaring 625 feet above the prestigious Tanglewood and Briargrove neighborhoods, just minutes from Memorial, The Galleria and the Uptown District, San Felipe Plaza is the second tallest tower in Houston outside of the central business district. Designed by noted, Los Angeles-based architect Richard Keating with interiors by Gensler, the 46-story, Class A office building is an iconic presence on the city’s skyline thanks to its shimmering, polished granite façade and striking, stair-stepped setbacks. Long a preferred, near west side business address, San Felipe Plaza encompasses nearly a million square feet and boasts expansive, uninterrupted views from floor-to-ceiling windows and unique corner offices resulting from the design. The heart of San Felipe Tower is a recently renovated, three-story lobby incorporating marble, granite and exotic wood finishes plus an open, second floor mezzanine. Tenants and guest enjoy access to a multitude of onsite amenities and abundant, activated greenspace with mature trees surrounding the property.

Verified Healthy Building for Indoor Environment

Verification Method

UL’s Healthy Buildings Verification Mark for Indoor Air Environment - Air, Water, Hygiene, Light and Acoustics demonstrates that indoor spaces provide healthy indoor air quality (IEQ). It shows a commitment by building owners and managers to create and maintain indoor environments that support tenant health, well-being and comfort, backed by UL’s globally recognized expertise in IEQ and building health. These buildings meet rigorous performance criteria and have policies and plans in place for continual advancement of IEQ. To achieve the UL Healthy Buildings Verification Mark, spaces underwent a desktop audit and on-site visits that include visual inspections and performance testing to evaluate a range of building conditions. The program includes an annual comprehensive assessment coupled with surveillance at the mid-year point. The IEQ testing requirements verify that the building air, water, hygiene, light and acoustics meets rigorous standards. These standards are aligned with industry-recognized, third-party organizations such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), among others. All laboratory testing and analysis methodologies are informed by the EPA Compendium of Methods, ASTM D5197 and TO-17 for air sampling, and EPA methods.
