Employing ASME A112.19.2-2013/CSA B45.1-13 “Ceramic plumbing fixtures”, Section 7.4 – Water consumption test, flush volumes were calculated for a toilet, with and without the flush reduction mechanism installed. The percent flush volume reduction achieved by the device was calculated as follows: X = [(flush volume without device (a)) - (flush volume with device (b))] / (flush volume without device (a)) * 100
