Verification Method

Withstands 8 cycles (155°C for 40H and -45°C for 8H per cycle) in automatic transmission fluid: Castrol 805C The impregnating varnish/resin and potting compound samples and oil-water mixture (3.0L oil and 10.8ml deionized water) are placed in a sealed stainless-steel vessel. Samples are conditioned as follows: - Place samples in ambient (25°C) chamber and increase the temperature, 2°C/min, to 155°C - Start first cycle by holding samples at 155°C for 40 hours - Transfer samples to -45°C cold chamber in less than 5 minutes - Hold samples at -45°C for 8 hours to complete first cycle - Transfer samples back to 155°C oven in less than 5 minutes to start second cycle. - Complete a total of 8 cycles The conditioned samples are assessed for Tensile Strength Test, Bond Strength Test, Permittivity, Dielectric Dissipation Factor, Volume Resistivity, Surface Resistivity, and Electric Strength Test with acceptable results.
