Product Information

Fire-Dex AeroFlex® Turnout

 The particulate blocking ensemble:
  • Blocks particulate ingress at key interface areas (turnout coat, pant, glove, boot interfaces and closures) as confirmed by the Particle Inward Leakage Test (Section 8.66, NFPA 1971, 2018 Edition) and shows less than 1 microgram exposure over the entire ensemble.
  • Performs consistently with existing Fire-Dex turnout standards for heat stress management and mobility.
    • AeroFlex® turnouts deliver best-in-class breathability, powered by AeroVent® technology. Strategically placed venting panels allow heat and moisture to escape while maintaining full flame and particulate protection. Independent testing confirms the effectiveness of AeroVent’s particulate-blocking material, giving firefighters unmatched comfort and protection while reducing the risk of heat stress—the leading cause of firefighter LODDs.
    • Requires no change in donning/doffing procedures
  • Certified to meet NFPA 1971; 2018 ed.
  • Pair the AeroFlex turnout with the Fire-Dex H41 particulate blocking hood for additional exposure reduction. The Fire-Dex H41 Hood is a breathable, ultra-soft hood with Nomex Nano Flex that helps protect the head and neck from particulates, while also providing excellent mobility and unrestricted hearing during firefighting activities.
