Product Information

Currently featured at the Consumer Electronics Show, the award-winning LG OLED65E6P will be coming soon to a retailer near you. OLED OLED, short for organic light-emitting diode, is a display technology with self-lighting pixels that can be individually controlled to achieve perfect black and infinite contrast. Infinite Contrast The individually illuminating pixels of LG OLED TV can switch completely off to achieve perfect black. It means that contrast—the difference between the lightest and darkest areas of the screen—is truly infinite, for a more natural, lifelike image with bolder colors. Color Prime PRO LG OLED TVs with Color Prime PRO take color to new heights. The color palette has been expanded to virtually match how colors are mastered for today’s digital cinemas. This means that your home viewing experience will more faithfully preserve the artistic intent of the director. A huge step forward in home theater. HDR Pro LG OLED televisions feature HDR Pro, assuring a superior HDR viewing experience, with increased contrast ratio and color range to reveal even greater picture detail, reproducing images more like real life. 4K UHD Ultra high-definition TVs offer four times the resolution of Full HD televisions. UHD, also known as "4K", delivers exceptional clarity and detail for all video content; even on large screens or when viewed up close. This means that you can fit a larger screen in a smaller space without compromising the viewing experience. webOS 3.0 Smart TV webOS 3.0 is the latest generation of the acclaimed LG Smart TV platform, adding advanced new features while making it even easier to use. The user interface is more intuitive, mobile devices can connect in new ways, and now it’s more fun than ever to find and enjoy exactly what you want to watch.

LG webOS TV Smart Home Ready

Verification Method

UL employs test, product analysis, inspects, demonstration and process analysis verification techniques to verify manufacturer claims. The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects—devices embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity that enables these objects to collect and exchange data. The IoT allows objects to be sensed and controlled remotely across existing network infrastructure, thus creating opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems. When IoT is augmented with sensors and actuators, the technology becomes smart homes. Each product is uniquely identifiable through its embedded computing system but is able to interoperate within the existing Internet infrastructure. We tested an LG webOS TV with built in software ‘webOS 3.0’ to verify that the functionality of the built-in LG webOS TV Application “IoTV” worked with a wide variety of IoT (Internet of Things) Connected LG Devices. We verified that the IOT operations were well controlled by TV remote control and the status was shown on the TV screen. Examples of some devices and their status shown are: Washing machine; remaining time, stop, operation status Refrigerator; refresh, fridge temperature, Ice plus, door status Cleaner; operation mode, battery status Air Conditioner; temperature control, operation mode Smart Plug; on/off status, emergy consumption value Lighting; Dimming , on/off status
