Marketing Claim Verified by UL

Filters 15% of blue light and preserves the true colors of your screen

Verification Method

The radiance of a lamp was measured with an 11mradFOV at 1m distance from 300-700nm. The screen protector was then placed between the bare lamp and the test equipment, and the same radiance measurement was performed. The absolute radiance values measured were then weighted per IEC 62471:2006. The blue light reduction was determined by subtracting the screen protector radiance from the bare lamp radiance, then dividing the result by the bare lamp radiance. This resulting value was converted to a percent in order to determine the value for the claim. The Color Temperature (CCT) of a lamp was measured with and without the screen protector filter. The shift in CCT was determined to be less than 250K with the filter installed.

What is UL Verification?
