The Flowtech Model FDBH-3V  is intended for installation in a smoke exhaust application in accordance with Taiwan Article 28 of Standard for Installation of Fire Safety Equipment Based on Use and Occupancy (88/09/01) and related Explanation No. 090501211.  The Explanation No. 090501211 states that a fire damper installed into a smoke exhaust duct passing through a fire barrier shall close automatically at 280°C when smoke exhaust equipment is activated. The damper closure is to be initiated by either  a fusible link or a heat responsive device.  
 
Installation and use of this product is governed by local Taiwanese regulatory approvals and the Flowtech installation instructions.

Endures 3 hour fire exposure with 280 °C heat responsive device

Verification Method

Product was assessed against the test method described below to determine the product’s fire exposure endurance when utilizing a Heat Responsive Device with a temperature rating of 280 °C (536 °F): Fire test dampers were installed in a gypsum wall assembly in the upstream and downstream orientation in a vertical wall with the blades in the open position. The dampers were then exposed to temperatures ranging from 538°C to 1052°C over a 3 hour time period. After activation of the heat responsive device, the fire damper blades closed and latched automatically and remained engaged and secured throughout the test period. At the conclusion of the exposure, there was no evidence of flaming of the fire damper assembly materials on the unexposed side.
