Verification Method

Quantity of PFOA and PFOS are determined in liquid samples using the mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) test method in accordance with 211-AT-S0110. Perfluoro compounds (PFOA and PFOS) in the textile samples are extracted with methanol. The PFC content of the extracted samples are analyzed by liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometer (LC/MS/MS) using an external standard method of calibration. The minimum quantification limits are 0.3 µg/m2 and 0.01mg/kg for PFOS and PFOA respectively.
