Exceeds NFPA 1851 Advanced Cleaning Characteristics by Reducing Carcinogenic Compounds: VOCs, PAHs, Heavy Metals characteristics were assessed per the applicable sections of NFPA 1851 Standard on Selection, Care, and Maintenance of Protective Ensembles for Structural Firefighting and Proximity Firefighting. PAH testing was conducted using a mirror process of the Heavy Metals and VOC testing in NFPA 1851. The pH of this detergent is 7.0-7.5 and is not chlorine-based. Wash was conducted using a 65 lb. washer run at 75% of capacity (by dry weight of load). The load was conducted using 8 ounces of Decon Ready™ PPE & Laundry Detergent on Cycle 12 which is approximately 45 minutes in length plus rinses. Tests conducted were for Semi-Volatile Organics and Heavy Metals per NFPA 1851-2020, Chapter 12 and PAH testing conducted by NC State University. All testing was conducted using the wash, surrogate, and contaminated swatch model from NFPA 1851-2020, Chapter 12. The following contaminants were used during the assessment of this verification: VOCs Acenaphthene Anthracene Diethyl phthalate Di-n-octyl phthalate Fluorene Phenanthrene Pyrene 2-Nitrophenol Phenol 2,4,6-Trichlorophenol Heavy Metals Antimony Arsenic Cadmium Chromium Cobalt Lead PAH Naphthalene Acenaphthylene Bromonaphthalene Acenaphthene Fluorene Anthracene Phenanthrene Fluoranthene Pyrene Benz-[a]-anthracene Chrysene Benzo-[a]-pyrene Benzo-[k] fluoranthene Indeno-123cd-pyrene Benzo[b]triphenylene Benzo-[g,h,i]-perylene
