Verification Method

The verification method is based on procedures from the following standards: IEEE 515-2017, IEEE Standard For The Testing, Design, Installation, And Maintenance Of Electrical Resistance Trace Heating For Industrial Applications; IEEE 515.1-2012, IEEE Standard For The Testing, Design, Installation, And Maintenance Of Electrical Resistance Trace Heating For Commercial Applications; CSA C22.2 No. 130, Requirements For Electrical Resistance Trace Heating And Heating Device Sets; and IEC/IEEE 60079-30-1, Explosive atmospheres - Part 30-1: Electrical resistance trace heating - General and testing requirements. Samples of the cable are placed in a fixture and exposed to an elevated temperature. The output power is measured at the beginning of the test and periodically throughout the test.
