The High Bay Hot Series from Red Sky Lighting is designed to excel in harsh environments. It has been verified to maintain up to 95.9% of its initial lumen output after 10,000 hours of continuous operation at an ambient temperature of 176°F (80°C). Test results also show that the lighting series can maintain at least 70% of its original lumen level after 47,000 to 50,000 hours of continuous use at 176°F (80°C) ambient temperatures, equivalent to over 5 years of life at 24/7 operation or over 10 years at 12 hours per day.
 
In addition to its remarkable lumen maintenance in high heat, the lighting series boasts robust construction, including a heavy-duty anodized aluminum housing that provides excellent resistance to corrosion, ensuring durability even under harsh conditions. The innovative vertical cooling fin design and driver compartment allow the fixture to perform flawlessly in extreme heat environments commonly found in industries like die casting, metalworks, ironmaking, steel production, power generation facilities, and chemical plants.

Verification Method

The test method is designed to address the lumen maintenance of LED luminaires at a specific ambient temperature. The Lumen maintenance is defined as the ratio, expressed as a percentage x, of the luminous flux emitted by the light source at a given time in its life to its initial luminous flux emitted. Projected lumen maintenance is based on LM-80 data of the LED component, driver reliability data in the specification sheet, or LM-84 data of the test samples.
