Verified Healthy Building for Indoor Air
UL’s Healthy Buildings Verification Mark for Indoor Air demonstrates that indoor spaces provide healthy indoor air quality (IAQ). It shows a commitment by building owners and managers to create and maintain indoor environments that support tenant health, well-being and comfort, backed by UL’s globally recognized expertise in IAQ and building health. These buildings meet rigorous performance criteria and have policies and plans in place for continual advancement of IAQ. To achieve the UL Healthy Buildings Verification Mark, spaces underwent a desktop audit and on-site visits that include visual inspections and performance testing to evaluate a range of building conditions. The program includes an annual comprehensive assessment coupled with surveillance at the mid-year point. The IAQ testing requirements verify that the building air meets rigorous standards. These standards are aligned with industry-recognized, third-party organizations such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), among others. All laboratory testing and analysis methodologies are informed by the EPA Compendium of Methods, ASTM D5197 and TO-17 for air sampling, and EPA methods.
Moore was founded in 1979 as a commercial real estate development company with a platform for execution. Although the company has evolved to emphasize investment rather than development, its belief in the necessity of an execution platform has only strengthened. From inception, the principals of Moore personally select, lease, and invest in its projects. Moore has invested in millions of square feet and financed over one billion dollars in commercial real estate. Most of the product has been office buildings, but industrial, retail, flex space, and urban land assemblages have also been acquired. The traditional focus has been the acquisition of properties in which significant value could be added through the resolution of problems. However, Moore also undertakes stable properties in which risk and return are in balance. Currently Moore & Associates has approximately 2M SF under ownership and management. Moore acquired 3060 Williams Drive in December 2020 with an emphasis on rejuvenating the asset. 3060 Williams Drive is one of two properties located at the intersection of the Capital Beltway and Route 50, offering unparalleled vehicular access. The property is also adjacent to the amenity-rich Mosaic District, a 500,000 SF mixed use development and the area’s leading live-work-play environment.
